Leather Welding Hood with Cape
Our leather welding hood is made from naturally flexible and heat-resistant split cowhide, with DuPont Kevlar flame-resistant thread used for stitching. The open-face design gives the wearer better airflow in hot working conditions while keeping the top of the head, ears and back of the neck covered. It can be worn together with a welding helmet, so workers can inspect the workpiece or check welds without repeatedly taking the leather hood on and off.
The welder hood provides comprehensive protection from head to neck, with an easy-to-wear hook-and-loop closure under the neck for a hassle-free secure fit. An optional breathable mesh lining can be added for better ventilation and comfort during long use during welding. Instead of stopping around the neck, the leather extends over the collar area of the workwear for a wider area of protection. The split cowhide provides resistance against sparks, welding spatter, heat and abrasion, while the extended construction protects the head, neck and shoulder area from direct exposure. The hood can also be used with different types of auto-darkening welding helmets.
Care: Do not wash with water. Wipe the surface clean with a damp cloth. Store in a cool, dry place. Replace the hood once the leather or protective areas become damaged.
